ChemCollective Chemestry Education app

ChemCollective is a free virtual chemistry lab platform that contains a collection of virtual labs, scenario-based learning activities, tutorials, and concept tests. It allows students to perform chemistry experiments and learn concepts in a safe virtual environment.

The virtual lab covers nearly the entire range of experiments used in high school and college general chemistry, including acid-base chemistry, thermochemistry, solubility, redox chemistry, and kinetics experiments like the Persulfate-Iodide Clock Reaction.

ChemCollective is free for high schools, while higher education institutions need to contact OLI for access information. It's designed for both students and teachers - students can use it for learning and practice, while teachers can use it for pre-labs, homework alternatives, and in-class activities.

The Virtual Laboratory allows students to select from hundreds of standard reagents and manipulate them like in a real lab. It includes features for chemical computations, standardization procedures, titrations, and the ability to create lab reports of virtual experiments.

Teachers can use ChemCollective content for pre-lab preparations, as alternatives to textbook homework, and for creating in-class activities for individuals or teams. The platform supports customized assignments and activities tailored to students' needs.
